If you are a Korean War veteran, you are invited to participate in an international effort to record an oral history of the Korean War by those who experienced it. A video library is being created and catalogued, and you now have a unique opportunity to carry your legacy forward to future generations.
Jongwoo Han, joint faculty of the Maxwell School’s Korean Peninsula Affairs Center, Syracuse University, and noted author, founded the Korean War Veterans Digital Memorial and now serves as President for the Korean War Legacy Foundation, which has more than 1,500 Korean War Veterans from 21 countries – the world’s most extensive database. His Legacy Foundation wants your story!
There are 139 Korean War service members in our chapter. Mr. Han would like to meet with each and every one of you if possible. He will begin videotaping at the Brownwood Hotel and Spa starting November 2nd and would like to start scheduling interview appointments now. To date, he has recorded interviews of hundreds of Korean War veterans who served on land, sea and air – some of whom you may know!
